The Robert Andrew Parker Collection
Robert Andrew Parker was born in Norfolk, Virginia, 1927. He attended the school of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1948 until 1952 and worked during the following months at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine and at Stanley William Hayter's Atelier 17 in New York. He has illustrated over forty children's books and has been recognized with awards including a Caldecott Honor and an American Library Association Notable Book award.
The collection includes original artwork, book proofs, and artwork reproduced from magazines, publications, and other materials.
