| Diary of Miss Katherine Corbitt on the commercial De Potter's Annual Long Summer Tour. Diary includes description and travel notes of England, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France and Scotland, written in Miss Corbitt's hand. 53 p. Also contains memorabilia of the trip including lists of fellow passengers, tickets, programs, route maps, tour guides, pressed flower souvenirs, etc., many laid in, others pasted onto existing pages. Appears to be very interested in paintings and lists many of those viewed, with some comment; 14 p. Travel from New York to Liverpool via Queenstown, Ireland, was on Cunard's R. M. S. /Etruria/. Other arrangements by train, boat, local transport. Return voyage was on Cunard mail S.S. /Campania/ from Liverpool to New York, where Miss Corbitt took a train to St. Louis, arriving Sept. 24. | |||||||||||||
