One of the first students of St. Louis University, Oscar Collet spent years as an officer of the Missouri Historical Society, where he conducted a great deal of research on historical subjects.
The papers consist of an index to St. Louis Cathedral and Carondelet Church marriages, transcribed by Mrs. E. Boyd Ware. It covers the period 1774-1839 (159 pp.). Bound in green cloth and gold stamped on spine.
