Brown is perhaps best known for his biography of poet T.W.H. Crosland (1865-1924), The Life and Genius of T. W. H. Crosland (1928).
The Brown papers contain an A.L.S. from Brown to R.N. Green-Armytage (April 17, 1925), enclosing a copy of the Crosland book. The collection also contains a clipped review of the book from The Border Standard (April 18, 1925).
