The 1909 letter from Bixby to F.W. Lehman concerns a gift copy of a book he has had privately printed containing the inventory of George Washington’s estate at Mount Vernon in 1810. The second letter, from 1913, concerns a gift copy of a book he has printed containing a letter written by Maria (White) Lowell to Nathaniel Hawthorne, a letter by William Black, and a an article about the letters of Frank B. Sanborn.
