A typographer, printer, designer, lecturer, and writer on printing, Paul Bennett was appreciated in his time for his catalytic effect on the printing community.  He was the driving force  behind many projects, including Typophile Productions, which produced chapbooks.  He was published in the Linotype News, Penrose Annual, and Publishers Weekly, and edited The Colophon and The Dolphin.  For more information on Bennett, please consult Paul Bennett: A Roamin’ Catalyst by Philip C. The Paul Bennett Papers contain correspondences, announcements, clippings, and a photograph of the designer with John Dreyfuss.  The personal and business correspondences include letters from Jan Van Krimpen and Herman Zapf.  Announcements include a pamphlet celebrating the work of Jan Van Krimpen in honor of his sixtieth birthday.
