Noah Miller Ludlow was born in New York city and died in St. Louis. He began his theatrical career in the melodrama of the Two Thieves with the Alexander Drake Company, the first acting troupe to tour the western states. He published one book, a volume of memoirs entitled Dramatic Life As I Found It (1880).

1851: August 17. Autograph letter signed, from Ludlow to Solomon Smith, concerning his travels in the East and discussing prospective jobs, and the formation of a new acting company. ALS 4pp.
