Biographical Note

Clark Mills McBurney (1913-1986) was a graduate of Washington University and classmate of Tennessee Williams and William Jay Smith during the 1930’s. Publishing under the name Clark Mills, McBurney was a poet and translator.

Manuscripts, scrapbooks, and clippings of work by Clark Mills McBurney. Also included are excerpts from work by William Jay Smith and Tennessee Williams concerning their youth in St. Louis, where they were both friends with McBurney.
