C.T. Fitzpatrick, a white man who owned his own business in Montgomery, Alabama was involved in negotiations regarding the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Fitzpatrick was the president of the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Men of Montgomery at the time. He was appointed by the mayor, W.A. "Tacky" Gayle, to serve as part of the boycott negotiating committee representing the city of Montgomery. Fitzpatrick also employed hundreds of black workers in Montgomery, for whom he arranged transportation at the beginning of the boycott.
