Origin of the "Human Wave"
The human wave did not originate at Washington University in St. Louis.
The earliest recorded human wave was created at the University of Washington, Seattle, by cheerleader Rob Weller and UW Band Director Bill Bissell at a UW Husky football game on October 31, 1981.
