




Every couple of weeks on Mondays at 12:00, the Manuscripts and
Archives Reading Group will meet to go over issues and topics
related to archival practice. Provided they have done the
reading, all members of the university are welcome, though
library staff may only attend with the permission of their
supervisor. Our meetings will happen on:

Outlined below is a sequence of readings On each of the dates on the
list attendees will meet.
Each meeting will include:
1)A presentation of an article summary from that month’s area along
with a bibliography of current journal literature in the area
(ideally with classic articles highlighted).
2)A discussion of the texts aimed at developing understanding in
staff on the subject area.
3) A discussion of the texts as they relate to archival practice
in the participants own work.
4)Depending upon availability, meetings may include guest speakers who
address the central topic.
5) A discussion of possible ACA exam questions related to the weeks topic.
