• The Physics Library will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2009 for Labor Day.
  
  
• Fall Semester Hours
  Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am - 6:00 pm
  Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
  Closed Saturdays and Sundays
  
  
• Departmental Library Closings - During August, both the Biology Library and the Math Library were closed and their collections were moved to Olin Library or to West Campus for older resources. Please ask me if you have any questions.
  
  
• RSS feeds now available from arXiv - Daily updated RSS news feed pages are now available for all active subject areas within arXiv. The URL for each category is constructed by appending the category name to http://arxiv.org/rss/. For example, the URL for the RSS page for the High Energy Theory archive is http://export.arxiv.org/rss/hep-th. More information is available at http://arxiv.org/help/rss.

**Recent Additions to the Library Web Pages**

These additions are somewhere in the Physics and Astronomy Research Guide [http://libguides.wustl.edu/physics] portion of the Washington University Library web pages.

• 'Pubget solves the problem of full-text document access. Instead of search results linking to papers, with Pubget's proprietary technology, the search results ARE the papers. Once you find the papers you want, you can save, manage and share them — all online.' (from About Us on the site). It started with life sciences, but was recently expanded to include the arXiv repository, so can be used to locate and retrieve papers in physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology and statistics. It has been enabled with the WU Libraries ejournal holdings, so you should be able to get directly to the PDFs in the ejournals we subscribe to for you, in these fields - from on-campus, or off-campus via the proxy server.
