  • PhysMath Central, the Open Access publisher for Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science, announced membership agreements with the CERN and DESY high-energy physics laboratories. Under these agreements the organizations will centrally cover article-processing charges for all research published by their investigators in the peer-reviewed open access journal, PMC Physics A. PMC Physics A was launched in October 2007. All articles published in the journal are made immediately and freely available on the web in their final published form and are indexed by speciality databases such as SPIRES.

  • Reminder - the Physics Library has a binder for every professor containing the papers he has written. If you haven't sent your papers to the Library recently, please send them and I will update your binder.

  • Attention Spring Physics course instructors! Please send me a list of books you would like placed on reserve. If you are keeping the same books for spring that you used for fall, let me know. You can use the Online Reserve Request Form, send me an email, or put a note in my mailbox. If you are making a web page for your class, you can link your page to the class' reserve list after I put the books on reserve. There is no need to retype them. Just ask me if you have any questions.

  • ITeach 2008: The Libraries are once again co-sponsoring ITeach with The Teaching Center and Arts & Sciences Computing. ITeach 2008: Student Learning, Teaching and Technology will be held January 10, 2008. Please see the ITeach 2008 website for more information and to register.
