• American Men and Women of Science - The Libraries have purchased online access to American Men and Women of Science. It is full-text, with the same content as the print edition, but fully searchable. I am thinking of withdrawing our old print set. Please let me know if that will be a problem. There is still a complete set of the print editions at Olin Library.
  
  
• Library Catalog Improvements - The library has been working hard on adding all the electronic journals we receive into our regular catalog with links to the electronic version. Look for the word online after the title. I am planning on discontinuing the alphabetical list I maintain on the Physics Library webpage effective March 1. Please let me know if this will be a problem.
  
  
• American Physical Society announced that it has launched another experiment - Physical Review Letters will make a small number of “Suggestions” for readers to examine particular Letters each week. “Editors Suggestions” will be based on the potential interest in the results presented and, importantly, on the success of the paper in communicating its message, in particular to readers from other fields. • Please report any problems with fulltext journal access promptly to Alison Verbeck. This is the time of year when many titles stop working. The sooner we identify them, the sooner we can fix the problems.
  
  
• Lightning Learning sessions - 15 minute workshops in Olin Library on a variety of information technologies will be offered during January and February. See the Lightning Learning page for times and locations.
