  • Physics Library Budget - I still have money left in the budget for purchasing books. The last day to purchase books on this fiscal year's budget is May 4. If there are any books which you would like me to purchase for the Physics Library, please let me know as soon as possible.

  • AIP Enhanced Backfiles - The American Institute of Physics has announced the release of enhancements to its digital backfiles. For many of the AIP journals, hyperlinked references have been added to the bibliographic headers for the years 1991-1998. This will allow users to click on references and follow links to the cited articles, a function already available for AIP’s “born digital” content from 1999 to the present.

**Recent Additions to the Library Web Pages**

[Suggestions are welcome!]
  • Astronomy Online - The site has been the recipient of several awards over the past few years, and visitors can look for basic and accessible information about the world of astronomy.

  • Cosmic Journey - Understanding the universe and space in all its complexity has consumed the passions of many people over the millennia. With an interest in bringing material from the world of scientific cosmology to the web-browsing public, the American Institute of Physics and the Center for History of Physics have created this website. The site is divided into two primary areas, titled “Ideas” and “Tools”. In the “Ideas” section, visitors can read essays about the development of cosmology from the time of the Greeks all the way up to the present. And moving over to the “Tools” section, visitors can learn about important related events, including the invention of the telescope and the golden era of refractors.

  • We now have access to the following electronic journals:
