Location of materials

The Physics Library is located on the third floor of Compton Hall.

On the main level of the Physics Library, you will find the Circulation Counter, the current journal reading alcove (with older unbound issues also), indexes and abstracts, Physics Department dissertations (shelved by author's last name); Reference books, multimedia collections, and three online catalog search terminals. Physics Periodicals are shelved alphabetically by title. For help in finding materials, please ask at the Circulation Counter.

On the Mezzanine, you will find the Physics General Stacks containing books (shelved by Library of Congress call number); and Physics Level 2 Journals consisiting of older or foreign journals (shelved alphabetically by title); 19 individual study carrels, and one additional computer.

A listing of periodical titles owned by the physics library and their locations is located on the circulation desk on the library's main level and next to the online search terminal on the mezzanine.
