Hours

Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday - Sunday and holidays, closed
Fall 2008 hours will begin on Monday August 18. Closed holidays Sept. 1, Nov. 27-28.

Thursday, October 2: 10 am - 3:30 pm. Since building will be locked at 3:30, library will close then.

(Exceptions will be posted on the library door, in advance when possible.)

The math librarian is available for consultation, classes, etc., additional hours as needed by appointment.

After-hours access: Faculty and graduate students in the Math Department may use the library when it is closed. Please contact the Math Librarian for further information about this.
Online journals and databases available 24/7 via the Internet.

Services & Facilities

Access & Circulation Policies

All borrowers with a current W.U. ID card may use the library and borrow books, including bound journals.Current journal issues do not circulate. Afterhours acess is available to the Mathematics faculty and graduate students. Special circulation forms are provided at the circulation desk for afterhours patrons.

Loan periods:

  • Faculty, 1 semester
  • Graduate students, 1 semester
  • Courtesy borrowers, 3 weeks
  • All others, 4 weeks

Reserves

Faculty who wish to have materials placed on Reserve should contact the Mathematics librarian or use the Online Reserve Request Form. Items on Reserve usually circulate for one day or overnight. Because the hours are more extensive, please consider using Olin Library Reserve Unit and/or ERes, especially for undergraduate and University College classes.

The Math Librarian is eager to assist you with your research and teaching needs. Questions and suggestions are welcome! Except during vacation times, email to the math librarian, rlewis @ wustl.edu, is probably the best way to contact me or arrange a meeting. Equipment & Computers

The library has two PC's for public use. Library Patron Computing Handbook
Photocopier: A card-operated photocopier is available. Purchase or add money to your card before you come to the math library. Locations of copy card dispensers.
Printing: WU students, staff and faculty can print if they have funds in their campus card accounts. The printout comes out the center front of the copier (not the side.) Note: You must logon personally so your account can be debited. Visitors or users without campus accounts may consider alternatives or use PC's at other libraries that allow copy-card printing at print release stations.
