Reserving the Arc
Spaces available
Arc Lab:
The signature space in the Arc. This curved classroom has 24 computers and
can be
divided into two smaller twelve seat classrooms. If your class has twelve or
fewer students, we ask that you book only one half of the Arc Lab. There is
one
Sympodium with a computer, laptop ports, and
complete AV and room controls built in.
Presentation
Room: This lecture-style room has chairs and tablet tables for
36 people. There is one Sympodium with a computer, laptop ports, and complete
AV and room controls built in.
Consulting Rooms: There are
two consulting rooms that seat 3-4 people. Each room has a TV/VCR, computer,
scanner and multi-media software. These rooms provide a space
for Arc staff to assist visitors in planning digital projects.
- To reserve a room, fill out a Reservation
Request Form.
- To check the availability of the rooms, view the Arc
Room Schedule.
- The Arc Lab and Presentation Room may be reserved by faculty and staff requiring the unique capabilities of these spaces. Meetings that do not need the technology available in the Arc should use the group rooms available elsewhere in the library and on campus.
- The Consulting Rooms may be reserved by students, faculty, and staff requiring
the unique capabilities of these spaces for up to three hours. After
three hours, priority is lost for the consulting rooms and they may
be used on a
space-available basis only. If any
other Arc visitor wants to use the consulting room after the initial
three hour
reservation period, the person currently using the consulting room
will be asked to leave.
- We recommend that your reservation requests are made at least three days
in advance. A room is not reserved until a confirmation is received.
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of your reservation so there
is time for setup and testing of hardware and software.
- The rooms may not be used as classrooms for regularly scheduled courses for an entire semester.
- We recommend that new users of the Arc Lab and Presentation Room receive
instruction on operating the podium and room controls prior to a reservation.
- Rooms that are not reserved are open for Arc vistors.
