Description
Space is available to allow students to work on projects involving general software and web access including browsers with popular plug-ins, word processing/spreadsheet/presentation software, web based presentation software, web authoring tools, ftp, software to support conversion of data from one format to another (e.g. Adobe Acrobat), and headphone jacks. Storage/access options include network access, and the ability to save and retrieve data from multiple storage formats—CDRW, DVD, Zip drives, network accounts, and print. Access to general purpose scanners is provided from some machines. Support for viewing library video resources with headphones is provided through use of TVs and VCRs.

This area cannot be reserved for instructional use.

23 Windows computers with CD-RW/DVD-ROM drives and support for USB flash drives; 4 with HP ScanJet 4850 scanners, 3 with HP ScanJet 4010 scanners, 1 with a Epson GT-1500 scanner, 1 with a Microtek ScanMaker 9800XL scanner, and one with a ScanPartner 15c scanner.
