Arc Lab
Lab Description
The Arc Lab’s distinctive curved wall, with etched
glass, provided the inspiration for naming the Library Technology Center
the Arc. Space and
equipment
are provided to encourage collaboration between students and among students,
faculty, and librarians. Comfortable booths are located along the back wall
to provide
an inviting area to promote collaboration. In this area, library staff provide
individual instruction in the use of the technology as well as information
sessions to help patrons find and select appropriate resources. When not
reserved, the
Arc Lab is open to all Arc visitors.
For classroom support, the room has a touchscreen Sympodium, two ceiling mounted
projectors, two retractable screens, separate light controls, a movable ceiling
mounted partition and two wall-mounted whiteboards in the front. Standard
software/hardware capabilities, available in the general computing area, are
