Connecting
to WUFI-S with Mac OS X
- Click
on the AirPort icon in the menu bar (
or ,
depending upon whether it is already active). Select Turn AirPort
On from the AirPort menu if it is not already running.
- Connect to WUFI, wunoreg or a wired
Internet connection and download the WUFI-S configuration file MacOSX-WUFI-S.Internetconnect.zip.
Double-click
the downloaded file to unzip it and then double-click on the resulting
file to import the WUFI-S settings into Internet Connect. If you cannot
connect to the network, someone at the Arc or the Help Desk on Level
1 can help you load the file using a flash drive.

- Once Internet Connect has launched, you will see an 802.1X configuration
window with the User Name and Password blank. Fill
in your User Name and Password and click Connect.
Note: If you have attempted to connect to WUFI-S previously,
you may need to manually select the configuration WUFI-S 1 from
the Configuration drop-down menu shown in the diagram
below.
Note: When logging on to the wireless network in the libraries,
you have two user name and password options.

If you have previously logged on to
a library public computer and changed your default password --
in the User Name field, enter your University ID number followed
by @library. For example: 123456@library.
In the Password field, enter the same password that you use for access
to library public computers. |
In the User Name field, enter the user
name assigned to you by your school or department followed by the
department domain. For example: jjones@olin or ssmith@artsci.
In the Password field, enter the password assigned by your school
or department. |
- Your computer will attempt to securely connect to WUFI-S. When prompted
with the Verify Certificate window popup, click View
Certificate and select Always Trust from
the resulting dialog.
Your computer will automatically connect with the WUFI-S Wireless Network
and log you in when you are within range.
