- Biology Library Spring Break Hours, March 7-15, 2009:
Saturdays - Sundays closed; Monday - Friday 8:30am - noon and 1-5pm
Note: A power outage is currently scheduled for Wed. March 11 which would mean no lights, computers, or heat/ac. Wednesday of Spring Break may be a good day to avoid the library! If we decide to close, we will post signs on the door. - Brief picture tour of the biology library and lounge areas: If you haven't visited recently you might be interested in seeing what we look like now. There's a new slide show at http://libguides.wustl.edu/biology
- NIH Public Access Policy classes: Additional sessions have now been scheduled at Becker Medical Library, room 601A. This provides an overview of the NIH Public Access Policy including the steps involved in complying with the policy and how to demonstrate compliance. Upcoming Class Dates:
Wednesday, 03/18/2009 10:00-11:00 AM
Wednesday, 05/13/2009 10:00-11:00 AM
Wednesday, 07/15/2009 10:00-11:00 AM
Please pre-register at https://aladdin.wustl.edu/medlib/Projecti.nsf/classcalendar - 2009 Neureuther Student Book Collecting Essay Competition is now accepting entries for graduate and undergraduate prizes. The deadline for submissions is March 27, 2009. More info.
- Verify that old Scientific American (or other journal) citation from your desk! We now have Reader's Guide Retro database available. This indexes 1890-1982. Of course, you may actually need to come to the library to get the article because older articles are often not available online, but you can get the correct citation and request the volume from West Campus when necessary.
