Academic Search Premier, approx. 1975+ (varies by source)

Scholarly, multi-disciplinary database containing full text for more than 4,650 publications, including more than 3,600 peer-reviewed publications. In addition to the full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for all 8,183 journals in the collection. More info

CINAHL Plus (1937 - )

Index, some full-text. Covers nursing, biomedicine, health sciences librarianship, alternative/complementary medicine, consumer health and 17 allied health disciplines. More info.

Directory of Health Organizations

Includes federal, state, and local government agencies; information and referral centers; professional societies; self-help groups and voluntary associations; academic and research institutions and their programs; information systems and research facilities.

Environmental Fate Data Base

Covers physical properties, environmental degradation and transport studies, toxicity and ambient, effluent, food, and occupational monitoring data on over 16,500 chemicals and 35,000 references. Searchable by name, formula or CAS registry number. Database initially sponsored by the EPA and maintained by Syracuse Research Corporation.

Global Health (1973 - present) and Global Health Archive (1912 - 1983)

Journal Index. Global Health is a public health database that provides information on international health, biomedical life sciences, non-communicable diseases, public health nutrition, food safety and hygiene, and much more. Global Health Archive provides information on public health, tropical and communicable diseases, nutrition, helminthology, entomology, and mycology. Search both databases at once.

Health & Wellness Resource Center, 4 years plus current year

Bibliographic references, abstracts and full text for excerpts and articles from a variety of health publications. Material includes a medical dictionary; medical directories and reference books; consumer-oriented and professional health periodicals; and pamphlets issued by leading health organizations. Information on research projects and programs supported by the Dept. of Health and Human Services. A useful database for learning about research in progress, researchers in particular fields, and who and what sort of project are being funded by DHHS, NIH, CDC, FDA, etc. More info.

Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM)

A catalog of human genes and genetic disorders authored and edited by Dr. Victor A. McKusick and his colleagues at Johns Hopkins Univ. and elsewhere. More info.

Journal index. Provides indexing and abstracts from books and journals and other materials for worldwide coverage of population, family planning, and related health issues. Coverage is mostly 1970+. Updated twice monthly. More info.
