- Biomedicine & Health in the News (UCHC)
- provides quick access to the biomedical, scientific and health journal literature referenced in newspaper articles appearing in the New York Times (1995-March, 2004) and Star Tribune (Minnesota)(8/97+). Newspaper articles that announce new research findings and refer to current or forthcoming publication are given highest priority. - CRISP - Computer Retrieval of Information on Scientific Projects
- Information on research projects and programs supported by the Dept. of Health and Human Services. A useful database for learning about research in progress, researchers in particular fields, and who and what sort of project are being funded by DHHS, NIH, CDC, FDA, etc. More info.
- DIRLINE, Directory of Health Organizations, also included in the NLM Gateway
- Includes federal, state, and local government agencies; information and referral centers; professional societies; self-help groups and voluntary associations; academic and research institutions and their programs; information systems and research facilities.
- Environmental Fate Data Base
- Covers physical properties, environmental degradation and transport studies, toxicity and ambient, effluent, food, and occupational monitoring data on over 16,500 chemicals and 35,000 references. Searchable by name, formula or CAS registry number. Database initially sponsored by the EPA and maintained by Syracuse Research Corporation.
