How to Download & Print Images from LUNA & ARTstor

Downloading LUNA Insight Images

To Download Individual Images or Image Groups from a LUNA collection,

select an Image or Image Group by clicking on it
go to file, export selected
choose a file resolution (from 96 pixels to 1536 pixels)
choose file destination (my documents, my pictures, etc)
re-name image files, either individually or by specifying a data field such as title or date
an accompanying xml data file will be downloaded along with each jpeg

Note: AMICA images may be downloaded from a networked computer on campus but not remotely. Images from free, unlimited access LUNA collections may be downloaded & printed via the java client.

Printing LUNA Images

To Print a single Thumbnail Image,

select the image by clicking on it
from the left side menu, choose Print
select Print image data or Print thumbnails

To Print a Larger individual image,

double-click the image to enter the Image Workspace
select the Print icon

To Print an Image Group,

open your group, from the left side menu, choose Print
select Print image data or Print thumbnails

Downloading ARTstor Images

this will be a low resolution *.jpg file, adequate for use in PowerPoint or Keynote
double-click a thumbnail image to open the Image Viewer Window
if necessary, override pop-up blocks by holding down the Ctrl key
images can only be downloaded individually, not in groups as with LUNA
select the Download icon from the Image Viewer Toolbar
accept the license agreement
choose file destination (my documents, my pictures, etc)
re-name image file
an accompanying html data file will be downloaded along with each jpeg

Note: WU network Guest Users may download & print images without registering with ARTstor. Printing & downloading are available for off-campus users via proxy.

double-click a thumbnail image to open the Image Viewer Window

print a Thumbnail image by selecting the Print icon from the Image Viewer Toolbar

print Image Groups by choosing View from the Main Toolbar menu

choose Image Group Print Preview

choose Print All Image Data or Print Title, Creator, Commentary
