Two sites of interest to students of 18th Century America are the
Early America Review and Archiving Early America. Early America
Review is a new quarterly e-journal produced by DEV
Communications, Inc., that is aimed toward both scholarly and lay
readers.

Contains the full text of Harper's Weekly during this time
period, including full-page images, which contain numerous
illustrations and maps. Indexed by subject, illustrations,
literature & publishing, advertising, occupation, and
literary genre.

Making of America (MOA) is a digital library of primary sources in American
social history primarily from the antebellum period through reconstruction.
The collection is particularly strong in the subject areas of education,
psychology, American history, sociology, religion, and science and technology. The
collection currently contains approximately 9,500 books and 50,000 journal articles with 19th century imprints.

Reviews in American History provides an effective means for
scholars and students of American history to stay up to date in
their discipline. Each issue presents in-depth reviews of over
thirty of the newest books in American history.

- Secession Era Editorial Project
Produced by the History department at Furman University in
South Carolina, this site features full texts of primary
documents in nineteenth-century American history "with special
emphasis on those sources that shed light on sectional conflict
and transformations in regional identity."
