The National Archives is the U.S. Government's collection of documents that
records important events in American history. The National Archives and Records
Administration (NARA) is the Government agency that preserves and maintains
these materials and makes them available for research.

- The Plymouth
Colony Archive Project at the University of Virginia
This valuable Website offers a wealth of documentary materials
from the original Plymouth Colony settlement. The archive
presents an extensive collection of searchable, online texts,
including "court records, Colony laws, biographical profiles of
selected colonists, probate inventories, wills," and analyses of
these primary materials. The Website also has photographs and a
description of the ongoing archaeological and reconstruction work
at the settlement site, historical illustrations from the 1911
text by Albert Christopher Addison, The Romantic Story of the
Mayflower Pilgrims, a walking tour of the colony courtesy of a
link to ArchNet at the University of Connecticut, and a list of
links to a number of related Websites. The Archive is
searchable.
- The World War I
Document Archive
Compiled by volunteers of the World War I Military History List
(WWI-L) and provided by Brigham Young University, this site
offers a large number of primary documents related to the First
World War. The main body of documents is sorted chronologically
and includes government papers, memoranda, letters by significant
figures, reports, and agreements. Other documents include
Conventions, Treaties, Memorials, and Personal Reminiscences.
Additional resources at the site include a biographical
dictionary, an image archive, commentary articles, and a
collection of related links.
- U.S. Department of State
Electronic Research Collection
The ERC Electronic Research Collection (ERC) is a partnership of
US State Department, the University of Illinois at Chicago
Library and the Federal Depository Library Program. The ERC
collection mainly includes the archived electronic documents from
the US State Department website and US Arms Control and
Disarmament Agency.
