Interlibrary Loan Service from OCLC FirstSearch Databases
Most OCLC FirstSearch databases have an Interlibrary Loan feature which allows you to request books or journal articles not available in WU Hilltop Campus libraries or in Mobius.
How it Works:
When you find materials that you need in FirstSearch databases, which are not in the WU collections, you can submit an interlibrary loan request directly by following these instructions:
Note: You must have an ILLiad account before you can submit a request.
- From the screen which contains the complete citation or record for the item, click on the ILLiad button, if present on the record. Or click on the WU Full Text button, and choose the ILLiad link from the window that opens.
- Fill out the request form by entering your ILLiad username and password.
- After you have completed the form, click on the Submit request to ILLiad button. You should then see the following message:
"Thank you. Your Transaction Number (TN) is: [number]"
You may then either logon to ILLiad, or log out of ILLiad OpenURL (and return to your search).
When your material arrives in the Interlibrary Loan Department, you will be notified by email. Books and microfilm must be picked up from and returned to the Check-out Desk in Olin Library, Level 1. All articles will be available electronically via ILLiad.
If you have any questions, you may contact the Help Desk on Level 1 of Olin Library (935-5410), or contact the ILL Department at 935-5442.
