June 25, 2002--southeast of Olin: The renovation plan requires digging a second airshaft. An excavator digs deep and lays dirt on the ridge of the hole. Another excavator scoops it up, backs out carefully to avoid the columns, and then dumps the dirt into a waiting truck. |

June 25, 2002--east of Olin on Level 2: Demolition workers strip off metal sheeting from the edge and then chip away a layer of concrete from the overhang. Debris is wheeled to the edge of the overhang on the west side and tipped into a dumpster. |
