May 24, 2002--Level A: A team of workers guides the conveyor belt as it is inserted into the window and down to Level A. Their job is relay information about the conveyor position to the workers above ground.

May 24, 2002--Level A: To avoid damage to the staircase and floors, padding, like these plywood sheets, covers the path of the conveyor belt. Two workers guide the tip of the conveyor belt to rest on the plywood.

May 23, 2002--Level A: Three carpenters build a wall to provide a walkway along the staircase. As Level A is closed, this walkway will allow traffic between Level B and Level 1 when Level B reopens.

May 24, 2002--Level A: Carpenters cut wallboard to shield the walkway from the conveyor belt and the construction on Level A.

May 28, 2002--Level A: A demolition crewmember rolls a wheelbarrow up the ramp and dumps debris in the hopper of the conveyor belt.
