May 21, 2002--Level B: The tile setter wrings out the sponge he is using to wipe excess grout off the wall tile. The color scheme of light gray tile and grout on the walls is accented by light teal tile on the floor.

May 23, 2002--Level 2: A cart of oversized books is rolled to the elevator by a mover on Level 2. Specially sized shelving on Level B holds all oversized books.

May 23, 2002--Level 2: Elevator traffic jam on Level 2: a staff member preparing to re-shelve books, a staff member delivering internal mail, and a mover with carts of oversized books all wait for space on the elevator.

May 23, 2002--southeast corner outside Olin: After the components were delivered, workers assembled this conveyor belt in the courtyard of Olin. The belt is needed to remove demolition debris from Level A. On Levels 1, 2, and 3 workers can move debris through the window openings. On Level B, workers carted it through the tunnel to the loading dock. Level A is a challenge as it has no windows or tunnel access. The solution: move it up to Level 1 on a conveyor belt and then out the window.

May 24, 2002--southeast corner outside Olin: After removing the window, the conveyor belt was tilted and lowered it into the building. Five teams of workers, stationed at strategic points, used two cranes, levers, hand signals, and telephones to position the equipment.
