September 25, 2002--Roof: One glazier holds in place the long, vertical strip of molding while another glazier (top) pushes a block of wood against the molding and taps it with a hammer to nudge the molding into place.

September 25, 2002--Roof: On the west side of the lantern, sheet metal workers install metal panels. under the lantern overhang or soffit. After they finish the lantern top, they will install a metal skirt around the lantern base.

September 25, 2002--Level 1, Atrium: The glass walls of the atrium mirror the image of the rooftop lantern. Imagine the future cybercafe: natural light surrounds café tables, computer stations, and students seeking a casual atmosphere and a central campus locale.

September 25, 2002--Level 1: Kneeling beside an air conditioner unit, a sheet metal worker measures the opening needed for the air return vent. The unit is installed in the temporary staff quarters in the new enclosed space of Level 1 during the renovation of the rest of the level.
