Washington University Libraries' holdings number an impressive 4.2 million titles, with materials being added every day. Even so, the research and teaching needs of our faculty and students are so extensive, specific, and pressing that there is an on-going demand for more titles than the library budget can cover.
The Most Wanted List presents the highest priority requests of faculty and graduate students. These items will meet the needs of multiple disciplines and will complement the Libraries' current holdings, enhancing the world-class research opportunities Washington University provides.
The Libraries share the Most Wanted List so that interested donors might adopt one or more titles. Beginning at several hundred dollars, the items on the list represent a wide range of prices.
The Most Wanted List will be updated as items are purchased and new needs are identified. The Libraries' current priorities are in the subject areas listed on the left. Donors can click on a link to find items that reflect their interests and budget.
Make Your Gift
To make a gift, use this form. Print it out and follow the directions you'll find there.
With donor approval, the donor's name will be listed in the online catalog to recognize the gift. Gifts of $25,000 or more can be recognized on a donor wall in Olin Library.
