Forgot your password?
You can reset it automatically in two quick steps:
Step 1: Reset your password. You will receive an e-mail message with a temporary password. This password won't give you access all library services - so go on to Step 2!
Step 2: Change your password. Passwords must be at least 6 characters, contain at least one upper-case letter (A - Z), at least one lower-case letter (a - z), and at least one number (0 - 9).

Why do I need a password to use the library?
Because without it you don't have access to most library resources and services.
Your library password lets you:
- log into any public computer in the Libraries
- log in to the proxy server from off-campus
- view your library account, renew or request books through My Catalog, and retrieve articles delivered to you through ArticleReach Direct
- order books, articles, and other materials through Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad)
- (optional) connect to the campus wireless network through WUFI or WUFI-S (more info)
(NOTE: If you are not a current student, faculty, or staff member of Washington University but have borrowing privileges, you need a PIN to view My Catalog.)
