The Washington University Libraries Web site is provided as a service to the students, faculty, and staff of Washington University in St. Louis.

Off-campus Access to Restricted Resources
Most databases, e-journals, and digital collections on the Libraries' Web site are licensed for use on the campuses of Washington University. Off-campus access is restricted to current Washington University students, faculty, and staff, as required by license agreements made with the vendors and publishers, and in some cases as required by copyright law.

Off-campus access to these resources is handled through the proxy server. The proxy server assigns authorized users a Washington University IP address, granting them access to restricted library resources. For more information, see Proxy Server Instructions for Off-Campus Access.
