Temporary Credentials for Guests and Visitors
Library visitors can obtain temporary credentials for access to computers and printers equipped with scanners in the Libraries by presenting a photo ID at the nearest Library Help Desk. These credentials are good for 30 days and also provide limited temporary personal file storage space. Temporary credentials are not renewable but new credentials can be requested as needed.
Printing and Copying for Guests and Visitors
The Libraries no longer provide printing and copying services for guests and visitors who are not members of the Washington University community. In lieu of printing and copying services a number of scanner-equipped computers are provided throughout the Libraries where guests and visitors can scan documents and save them to a USB flash drive or e-mail them to an address of their choosing. In addition, documents created on Library computers can also be saved to a USB flash drive or e-mailed to an address of the user's choosing.
Guest Wireless Access
Network Services and Support provides wireless access for visitors to campus such as parents, conference attendees, and local community members. Guest access is available in all Library areas where wireless coverage is provided including the West Campus Conference Center.
To access wireless services, these individuals should check for available wireless networks and select the network named GUESTWiFi-WUSTL. No authentication is required.
WARNING - Since Guest WiFi-WUSTL is an unsecure connection, ANY sensitive information, ie. account numbers, passwords, & other personal information are at risk of being intercepted. Use extreme caution when accessing the wireless network in this fashion.
