Computing Services at the Libraries
Personal Accounts and Network Authentication
Majority of library systems use the WUSTL Key to provide access to resources for Washington University students, faculty, and staff. Information on creating and maintaining your WUSTL Key can be found on the WUSTL Connect web site.
How to Change or Reset Your WUSTL Key Password
Information on changing your password or resolving a lost password problem can also be found on the WUSTL Connect web site.
Personal File Storage Space
All individual network accounts have a limited amount of personal file storage space on a library file server. This server is mapped as the Z: drive when patrons log onto the library network. Personal file space is for school-related material only. This file storage is backed up on a regular basis.
The University’s rules on the use of computing resources must be followed at all times when storing files on library servers. Any movies, music, programs, or other software stored here may be deleted at any time.
Access From Off-Campus (Proxy Services)
To access most databases and ejournals from off-campus you must log in through the proxy server. You must be a current student, faculty, or staff member of Washington University for access to these resources.
