Library Councils
The Washington University Libraries have four advisory groups which help guide the development of the Libraries:
Faculty Library Council:
The Faculty Library Council is an advisory board composed of approximately 20 faculty from across the University. The Council meets with the Dean and other representatives of the library administration once per semester to discuss Library services, initiatives, and programs.
Graduate Library Committee:
The Graduate Library Committee consists of faculty and students who are appointed by the Graduate Council of the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences to advise the Libraries on matters of special concern to graduate students.
SCOOL:
The Student Committee on Olin Library (SCOOL) is a subcommittee of the Academic Affairs section of Student Union. It includes undergraduate students and library representatives and meets bimonthly.
National Council:
The Libraries' National Council is an advisory board whose membership consists of bibliophiles, alumni, benefactors, business professionals, and librarians from peer institutions. The Council meets semi-annually with the Dean and the Libraries' Administrative Group to discuss the Libraries' initiatives and projects. Many National Council members are also generous donors.
