Off-Campus Access
Only current students, faculty, and staff of Washington University may access most databases and ejournals from locations beyond the Washington University campuses, by license or contract with the vendors and publishers.
The proxy server 'gives' you a WU IP address for a short period of time, so that vendors and publishers grant you access. More info.

Dial-up access is also possible, though slow. For Arts & Sciences students, faculty, and staff, information about how to set up a dial-up connection can be found at: http://artsci.wustl.edu/ASCC (search for dial-up in the search box on the left of that page). If you have problems setting up a dial-up connection, please contact whoever issues your WU email address: ArtSci, CEC, etc.
