University Archives is comprised of more than 300 unique collections. Chronicling the history of Washington University from 1853 to today, and containing numerous collections related to St. Louis history and architecture, University Archives is a wealth of primary sources and other historical materials that include manuscripts, photographic prints and negatives, books, film, sound recordings, microfilm, architectural plans, and artifacts.

Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.*
(Except for University Holidays and dates listed as closed)
*Please call before coming to the University Archives to ensure items are available for your use (314) 935-5444.

University Archives will be CLOSED:
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 21
All Day, Monday, May 28
4:00 - 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 31

Location

**University Archives HAS MOVED our offices and reading room to a new location in the same building. We have joined the Modern Graphic History Library on the West Campus Conference Center side of the West Campus Library building (lower level). Click here for directions.
