Billiard Sports
Though I played a little when I was younger, I was inspired to take up
the cue seriously, as many were, after seeing the movie The Color
of Money. My main game is three-cushion billiards, at which my
high run is an eight. I have a billiard table--a 10-foot Brunswick from
1927--in my basement. Of the pocket games I prefer straight pool and
one-pocket, though I try to play a wide variety. The Usenet newsgroup I
used to post to most often is the one devoted to
billiard sports, and all but one of my
signature quotes have to do with cue sports in
some fashion or another.
