Thank you.Introduction: The Chancellery of the Presidency of the Government of Georgia has asked for assistance to undertake an analysis of the benefits and costs to the Republic of Georgia if it were to join the CIS Customs Union.
Understandings:
Assistance will be provided as rapidly as possible with the objective of completing a report to the Chancellery in one month, i.e. before the end of July, 1996.
The Chancellery agrees that this will be a collaborative effort involving the participation of the Chief of the Macro-Economic Division of the Chancellery, the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance and led by the International Trade Specialist.
The baseline for the analysis will be Georgia's current trade regime and tariff structure.
